Developing Mentoring Schemes
Mentoring relationships should effectively support career progression and learning, as well as promote diversity and equality to enrich the services of your organisation.
Astar provides guidance and support in developing organisational mentoring schemes that enhance the specific skills and general behaviours that both mentors and mentees require to work together effectively. These include:
- The roles of the mentor and mentee
- The mentoring contract
- Building and matching the mentoring relationship – benefits and challenges
- Matching mentor - mentee
Successful mentoring partnerships bring together sources potential and sources of experience within your organisation, giving members of staff the opportunity to maximise their potential, develop new skills, improve their performance and gain a better understanding of others’ needs and requirements.
