Afua Yeboah is a Principal Consultant with Astar Management Consultants and has over fifteen years experience of working in Equality and Diversity. She has expertise in the design, development and delivery of high impact recruitment and training initiatives.

Afua has worked extensively with government departments including the Home Office (ACOT), The Network, Learning and Skills Council, Cabinet Office, National Probation Directorate as well as private sector organisations including Lehman Brothers, UBS, JPMorganChase, Skills for Media and others.

Projects include Career Development workshops for BME managers in the Crown Prosecution Service, Recruitment and Selection techniques for BME staff HEOs and Grade 7, Career Focus working with BME graduates and undergraduates, Diversity training for Recruitment Managers Home Office and Bromley College and others. Design, development and delivery of Learning and Skills Council and Department For Education and Skills funded projects.

Afua graduated in 1993 with a BA (Hons) in Product Management. She qualified as an Assessor in 1997 and holds the distinction of being a Windsor Fellow (WF) graduating from the WF’s Leadership Programme in 1993.

In a voluntary capacity, Afua has served as a Parent Governor, a member of the BBC Advisory Council and Treasurer of Rosendale Cares for Kids. Currently, she is Chair of the London Black Women’s Council, Unicef – Day of African Child committee and Trustee for Pegasus Opera. She is also a member of the Institute of Directors and Federation of Small Business Owners. She currently sits on the Southeast London NHS Trust Race Equality committee.
