Nita Sharma is a Principal Consultant with Astar Management
Consultants Limited. She also works independently, and has her
own Management Consultancy practice.
Nita's experience is in helping people and organisations
through change and transition, addressing diversity and culture
issues, valuing and leveraging differences, team building,
and coaching. She draws from several years of organisation
effectiveness practice supported by a broad range of capabilities
developed through consulting and engaging small and large
groups in diverse work environments.
Prior to Nita becoming a consultant, she has worked as a
Equal Opportunities Adviser in several Local Authorities and
as an Equal Opportunities Manager and a Personnel Manager
for the BBC, where she was instrumental in developing equal
opportunities strategies, policies and training initiatives
for all personnel.
Nita's recent consultancy experiences have included designing
and delivering diversity programmes for various parts of Shell,
developing diversity programmes for a large Healthcare Trust,
reviewing and facilitating the harassment and bullying policies
and training for managers and staff. Nita has also been involved
in designing leadership programmes for ethnic minorities and
women.
Nita has a BSc (Hons) and an MA in Sociology and Social Policy.
She has a Certificate in Counselling and a Master Practitioner
in Neuro Linguistic Programme (NLP).
