Pauline Sagoe has a degree in History, Literature and Humanities
and is a qualified and experienced teacher and trainer. She
is a UKCP registered psychotherapist, trained counsellor and
has training and experience in supervision, coaching and mentoring.
She has extensive and varied experience of working in organisational
contexts.
Her early career was spent in teaching English and French
in schools and colleges in the UK and abroad. For the past
18 years, prior to joining Astar Management Consultants, and
in conjunction with running a clinical practice, Pauline has
worked as a consultant for trainers, project leaders and managers,
an independent consultant in youth and adult education and
training and as an independent counsellor and group facilitator.
She gained experience in educational management and administration,
and has also sat on national and university steering committees
for specific research.
Pauline has experience in delivering a wide range of training and development programmes, including: mediation and conflict resolution; train the trainer; personal and professional development; assertiveness; stress management; leadership; equal opportunities; racial and sexual harassment; working with diversity; group dynamics and working with groups; the impact of multiculturalism, all in the public, education and voluntary sectors. Her four year's training in Transactional Analysis, and later, four years Advanced Transpersonal Training, position her well to work with a range of interventions including, coaching and appraisal. She also has experience in team building.
More recently, Pauline was the external examiner for a range
of counselling courses at the University of Western England,
and a visiting tutor on the BSc. Psychology and Counselling
Course at the University of Surrey, Roehampton, where she
also offered lectures on two MSc. Courses.
Pauline was a Justice of the Peace from 1984 to 1990.
