Roy Hutchins is a Director of and the Theatre Producer for Astar Management Consultants Limited.

As a writer, director, performer and producer for theatre, radio and television, Roy has won two Edinburgh Fringe Firsts, has been nominated twice for the Perrier Award and presented the edition of Omnibus for BBC Television that won the Royal Television Society's Best Arts Documentary Award. He has also been the winner of the Charrington Best One Person Show Award, and was voted Time Out Performer of the Year.

He has written and performed plays on BBC Radio 4 and had his own series on BBC Radio 5. He has also sold television scripts and formats to the BBC, Granada, Channel 5 and Thames TV.

He is a member of Equity, The Independent Theatre Council, and The Writers Guild of Great Britain.

Roy began working in the public and private sector field in 1996. In conjunction with specialist management consultants and clients he produces performance based development programmes. He joined Astar Management Consultants Limited as their Theatre Producer in December 1999.
